Jim Moore founded Kensington Capital Advisors in 2004 to provide strategic advice and counsel to end users of derivative financial products. With over 18 years of experience in the derivative and capital markets, Mr. Moore brings a depth of experience to each transaction that has made Kensington Capital Advisors a creative force and leader in the industry.
Prior to his role as an independent advisor, Mr. Moore was a Managing Director in Bank of America’s Global Derivative Products Group, where he led the bank’s efforts structuring derivative products used by developers of both conventional and affordable multi-family real estate. He is an expert at pricing and structuring hedging instruments, with extensive experience integrating these tools into both taxable and tax-exempt financings. He was also responsible for the development of several proprietary products and managed teams of professionals covering various client segments.
Mr. Moore holds both B.B.A.– Finance and M.B.A.– Finance degrees from Loyola College in Maryland. He was also a co-author of "Risk Management for Middle Market Companies," published in the Journal of Applied Corporate Finance (vol 12 num 4 Winter 2000).
