Karen Jahnke joined Kensington Capital Advisors in 2007 as the firm’s Managing Member. Mrs. Jahnke oversees all aspects of Kensington’s derivative consulting practice.
Prior to joining the firm, Mrs. Jahnke was a Managing Director on the trading floor of a major derivative provider. With over thirteen years of experience in the derivative products industry, she directed a team of professionals who were responsible for developing and implementing interest rate risk management strategies on behalf of their clients which included large-cap corporations, real estate professionals, sports franchises, private banking individuals and small and mid-sized companies. In addition to her management responsibilities, Mrs. Jahnke has personally structured and executed thousands of derivative transactions. She worked extensively with many clients in the implementation of hedge accounting standards. Mrs. Jahnke spent the early part of her twenty-six year banking career in audit, loan workout and accounting.
Mrs. Jahnke graduated from Oklahoma State University with B.A. degrees in both Finance and Management.
