Derivative Education

Kensington provides expert interest rate derivative education to satisfy a variety of needs. Derivative Education is an important component of risk management whether an entity is preparing to execute its first derivative, amending or terminating an existing transaction, or simply monitoring an existing transaction portfolio. Our experts regularly conduct educational presentations for our clients’ boards and/or executive staff, including production of customized written educational materials.

The topics of these presentations vary widely from derivative documentation and regulatory compliance to transaction specific mechanics and risks. We provide both topics of current interest/opportunity, as well as educate clients about specific topics of their choosing. While our educational presentations are typically conducted onsite with a client, we can also conduct sessions remotely via teleconference or webinar. Derivative Education forms an integral part of every Kensington advisory engagement.

In addition to providing derivative education to our client base, Kensington presents to a variety of law firms, professional associations, commissions and conferences including:

  • National Association of Bond Lawyers (NABL)
  • Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA)
  • The North Carolina Medical Care Commission (NCMCC)
  • The Risk Management Association (RMA)
  • Native American Finance Conferences
  • Housing Finance Conferences
